I mentioned in my February goals post that I love celebrating Chinese New Year and though I had big plans to go out for dinner or cook something from scratch, I had a lot of work to do this weekend (yay!) and well I just couldn't be bothered. I braved Asda (horrific, never again please) and picked up a takeaway meal for two as a little treat. It didn't photograph too well, but the cute little battered envelope has a coin inside and was something I was given at a Chinese restaurant years and years ago. I love the illustration.

This counts as authentic Chinese cuisine, right?
Do you celebrate Chinese New Year? Even though I have no connection with it I love the message of prosperity and happiness.
After seeing that you were going to celebrate it, I insisted we had Chinese last night. It was just take out because my mum was ill so she couldn't watch my daughter while I cooked. It was delicious though! We toasted to prosperity and happiness!
